At the heart of our diverse community, striving for excellence, enabling all to achieve their highest potential.

‘God loves each of us as if there were only one of us.’St Augustine

We aim to be an outstanding church school embodying the love and care of God the Father for all his children, striving to attain the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, and co-operating with the Holy Spirit for the flourishing of every person.

Mission Statement

Our Christian values-based school celebrates curiosity and creativity [and I have filled him with my spirit.  I have given him understanding, skill, and ability for every kind of artistic work – for planning skilful designs and working them in gold, silver, and bronze; for cutting jewels to be set; for carving wood; and for every other kind of artistic work.  Exodus 31:3-5] through an inspiring, broad and engaged curriculum, where learning is at the heart of all we do [“they found him…sitting among teachers, listening to them and asking them questions.”  Luke 2:46].  Our children learn to become resilient and self-assured in a safe, inclusive and nurturing community [If you listen to advice and are willing to learn, one day you will be wise.  Proverbs 19:20.  “…you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”  John 8:32].  Everyone is challenged and encouraged to thrive and achieve as individuals, preparing them for their role as caring and active citizens in modern Britain [Is there anyone among you who is wise and understanding?  He is to prove it by his good life, by his good deeds performed with humility and wisdom.  James 3:13].

Learning and Teaching

Spalding Parish Church of England Day School believes that it is every child's right to Learning and Teaching that will empower them to become lifelong learners and equipped with the key skills to thrive in an ever changing world.  Subsequently Learning and Teaching permeates all that we do in school, developing the values, attitudes, skills and knowledge of all our children, adults and wider community.

The Christian ethos and values upon which the school was founded are essential and guide how we live, learn and educate at SPCEDS.

We aim for our children to leave us for the next stage of their journey, supported by our learning powers, as:

  • Successful Learners.
  • Responsible Citizens.
